There are various different categories of Cannabis sex products available to purchase in Canada, including cannabis-infused personal lubricants, CBD anal suppositories, and even CBD gummies for sex.
Cannabis lube in Canada
Sexual lubricants enhanced with THC and CBD are sold by the following brands in Canada.
Foria Lube
The first-ever Foria lube sold in Canada is Foria Awaken. The CBD-dominant sexual lubricant is designed for women and is “nearly odourless.” It’s meant to enhance your sexual experience without giving you the feeling of a psychoactive “head” high.
It’s a blend of non-GMO liquid coconut oil and cannabis extract and is safe to ingest. However, it is not compatible with latex dental dams or condoms.
Unfortunately, the official Foria online shop does not ship to Canada. However, select online retailers such as xoxtoys.ca and shopfleure.ca appear to sell various Foria sex and arousal oils, including Foria Awaken. Note that I have not bought from these sites, so I cannot vouch for them personally.
I did try Foria Awaken when it first came to Canada in 2017. At that time, Tweed exclusively sold the Foria lube to its medical marijuana patients and was just calling it “Foria”then. I enjoyed the cannabis-infused coconut sex oil, but it didn’t blow my mind. To give some context, I also hadn’t been experiencing any vulva discomfort prior that I was hoping to alleviate. I have heard people swear by CBD-infused lubricants and sex oils, on other hand, saying they’ve helped with painful sex caused due to vaginismus or vaginal dryness.
Proofly
The topicals brand Proofly offers a water-based lubricant that is latex compatible. This is a great selling point if you are practicing safe sex since coconut oil-based lubricants will break down latex condoms.
The water-based lubricant is also free from fragrances, gluten, dyes, alcohol, parabens, phthalates, and Glycerin.
The Proofly lube contains 125 mg of CBD and 6.25mg of THC. The company says it can reduce pain and dryness, relax pelvic muscles, and help promote longer and more intense orgasms.
The Proofly water-based THC lube always seems sold out at the Ontario Cannabis Store. Yet I did find a brick-and-mortar cannabis shop near me that sells the cannabis lube using HiBuddy.ca.
Cannalife Botanicals
Cannalife Botanicals based in Squamish, British Columbia, sells various cannabis and CBD massage oil products. It also makes a Pleasure Oil that’s a blend of coconut oil, THC, and an essential oil blend of myrrh and frankincense.
CBD Suppositories in Canada
Prairie Grass
If you are looking to buy CBD suppositories in Canada, there are a few options.
Based in Alberta, cannabis company Prairie Grass sells suppositories for rectal and vaginal use. Calling them “pods,” both THC suppositories and CBD suppositories are available. They are sold through Canada’s medical cannabis market, meaning you’ll need a prescription to get their cannabis suppositories.
In 2021, the company became the first to bring cannabis suppositories to the Canadian market.
Unfortunately, cannabis and intimacy-related products often sell out fast online. Similar to cannabis-infused sexual lubricants, it may also be hard to find somewhere to buy them near you in person.
Mello Bottoms CBD Suppositories
For these reasons, readers may also want to learn more about Mello Daily, a company in the United States that makes CBD suppositories. Designed for anal insertion, Mello Bottoms CBD anal Suppositories are intended to help people enjoy and relax for anal sex. Also, the large veins in your rectum enable a relatively fast absorption of CBD into the bloodstream, taking effect between five and ten minutes on average.
The company is able to ship its CBD suppositories to Canada, but for a fee of about US$30.
