Since the federal government legalized the sale of recreational cannabis in October 2018, it is legal to buy weed online in Canada.
You can purchase cannabis online from a licensed retailer’s website, and the products will be shipped to your address via mail or courier.
However, you must be at least 19 years old (or the legal age in your province or territory) and have a valid government-issued ID to prove your age.
If you are looking to buy weed online for delivery in Canada, I can recommend some reputable sources I’ve tried. I will also continue to update as I receive recommendations and try new services.
Further down I will also share the names of cannabis retailers in Canada by region, with some details on same-day delivery and mail-order options.
Ontario Cannabis Store
The Ontario Cannabis Store is my favourite online store that ships. What can I say it’s been reliable and reasonably priced, considering my other options.
The cost of their delivery service has ranged and was free for a while to increase sales. I can’t say I have any complaints about the Ontario Cannabis Store. Compared to the prices of my medical marijuana provider Spectrum Therapeutics, the prices are actually better in many cases, even when including the tax.
Medicinal users do have the option of writing off purchases from their tax-free cannabis from their medicinal supplier at the end of the tax year, so it’s not a complete rip off)
For reference, I like buying 510 vape cartridges, and the ones sold by Spectrum Therapeutics were a third more expensive than other similar or exact same options at the Ontario Cannabis Store. On the other hand, I’ve found buying CBD oil in a bottle as well as other forms of cannabis oils as the most cost-effective when I’ve done it through Spectrum. This is with regard to potency, quality, volume, and cost. Of course, the cheapest way is to make your own cannabis oil, if you can.
It also sells CBD gummies from numerous sellers with varying ratios of CBD and THC.
More weed shops to show where to buy weed online in Canada are on their way. Updates and reviews will be written by me here after the delivery and testing of new products.
Cannabis NB
In New Brunswick, Cannabis NB is the only legal retailer of recreational cannabis for the province. While I have not used its shipping services myself, not being in that province, Cannabis NB says it takes standard shipping orders one business day to arrive, it is made by 2:30 pm.
Spirit Leaf in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and B.C.
According to the SpiritLeaf website, its Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan cannabis dispensary offers same-day delivery to Moose Jaw, Regina, and Saskatoon along with shipping service across Saskatchewan.
The company says it ships anywhere in Saskatchewan through Canada Post.
On its website, it also says it offers delivery to locations in British Columbia and Manitoba.
PEI Cannabis
PEI Cannabis says it can ship its cannabis orders to any legal address on PEI. Its delivery service is provided by Purolator.
Garden City Cannabis
Garden City Cannabis – same-day delivery St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Thorold, Fort Erie, Welland, Pelham, and Lincoln
Cannabis retailers by region
You can buy weed online in Canada from various Canadian cannabis retailers. However, many stores with brick-and-mortar locations I’ve tried require me to pick them up in person. This works for me since I can just order in advance and get what I want. So while it may seem you can order weed online easily, you need to also make sure the they will ship the cannabis to you.
To help you in your search to buy weed online near you, I will share a list of cannabis retailers by region. I’ve also added a note to show if they offer same-day delivery or other mail-order options that I am aware of.

Remember, not all online cannabis retailers in Canada are licensed, even if their websites look legit. To make sure you are purchasing cannabis from a legal source, you should only buy from a licensed retailer authorized by the provincial or territorial government where you live.
